Amazon Books
Amazon
Co-led a brand and product redesign for Amazon Books, building a system that performs equally well on a Kindle screen and an out-of-home placement.

Challenge
Four sub-brands — Kindle, Audible, Goodreads, and Prime Reading — operated without a shared visual or interaction language.
System
Defined typography, motion, color, and layout tokens that integrate directly with the Amazon Rio design system.
Impact
Generated $80M+ in new revenue and reached 87% component adoption across Amazon Books within six months.

On the design
The visual system was built to flex from a six-inch Kindle screen to a building-sized out-of-home placement without losing identity. A modular type scale, a calm but confident color palette, and a unified motion language let Kindle, Audible, Goodreads, and Prime Reading feel like one family while preserving each sub-brand's voice. Layouts prioritize the cover art — books and authors lead, the system supports.
